I noticed that the price of Wolfenstein went from the original list price of $49.99 down to $35.49 and on top of that, Amazon is shipping it for FREE.

That can’t be good news for the game. I picked it up so I guess I’ll find out soon if I wasted $35.49.

Well, I haven’t gotten the game yet and I haven’t read the reviews, but I’m unsure I get a warm fuzzy feeling about it. I’ll pick it up of course, but I’m a bit engrosed in Prototype ATM so I don’t want to ruin my interest in that. Check out the related news.
Have you gotten the game? Comment, tweet or reply in the forums.

I’m posting this for a test to see if the Twitter integration I just enabled will work properly. Here we go! :)

I stayed up late last night and worked on the site a bit. Then I woke up late morning and started working on it a bit more. I made some progress, but that progress seems slow. Things take time.
The Community Talk section of the front page is coming along. I’ve integrated post counts, views and replies which are kinda kewl, but I still have to figure out a way to handle quote blocks better. Instead of bothering with images, I took the lazy way out for now and simply replaced all images with [img]. I’ve also capped the posts so it only shows an excerpt. I had to use an iFrame to integrate the forum which I’m not a fan of, but it works. I always hate seeing that white box on initial page load.
I finally got access to the old Planetwolfenstein website so I downloaded everything from there and I’ve started to move things over to tramdesign.net. I’m happy that I didn’t lose that stuff. I’m finding a bunch of things I didn’t even know I had such as development screenshots and such. I think I may post some of them in the forums.
Meanwhile, I’ve setup the Projects page and also the Community page so those are checked off the list. The Contact page works, but it’s got some ways to go.
Eh, I guess I won’t bother listing what I have left to do since it appears I have more to do than I’ve done so far, but I have to admit I feel good getting this site up and running again even if there’s no traffic anymore.

id Software on Wolfenstein MP Leak says:
It was brought to our attention on Friday, 7/31 that a build of the Wolfenstein Multiplayer was leaked and is now being distributed illegally through breach of NDA and mirrors posted on the internet. I must warn anyone involved that Activision’s legal department is taking this matter very seriously.
The game also hasn’t gone gold yet with a release date of 8/18 which means it isn’t making that date most likely. I also caught a comment on a website from somewho who seemed to have some knowledge of the leak and…
…it [Wolfenstein 2] seems like a very bad, crudely programmed, unpolished product that looks and plays like an Activision Value caliber game rather than a legendary franchise from id Software.
Unfortunately with they way most games are designed lately, I have little reason to doubt it’s true. Let’s hope this person is wrong and Raven/Activision get their shit together and release a good game.
